Gibson LG-2 "Banner" Guitar Circa 1943 (SOLD)

  • Mahogany back & sides
  • Spruce top under a traditional sunburst
  • "Only a Gibson is Good Enough" headstock scroll banner
  • The 3 on a plate tuners  appear to be original
  • Original tortoise shell colored pickguard
  • Heavy finish crazing all over the guitar
  • Rosewood fretboard with MOP dot markers
  • Rectangular Rosewood bridge with 2 pearl dots
  • Black bridge pins
  • X-braced top, and the original Maple bridge plate
  • One glued side crack in the bass side, performed by Bob (Yukon") Stubblebine in Boston
  • "426" is on the back of the lower headstock
  • Original brown "alligator" case is available for purchase but, the guitar will be shipped in a new case
