- Deering Goodtime 2 Opry Limited Edition Banjo: The Goodtime 2 banjo is fast and easy to play due to the slender, low profile, rock maple neck. The single coordinator rod in the pot allows the player or technician to adjust the action to suit the players needs. The standard 11" diameter rim is a combination of birch and rock maple. The 16 brackets and standard rim diameter make head adjustments easy and simple and the availability of replacement heads is simple since the heads are the same size as almost all modern banjos (11" high crown). The maple resonator has a natural blond maple finish with a single black binding strip around the back edge. The resonator fastens to the banjo by machine screws that thread into brass wall lugs on the side walls of the resonator. Access is easy and simple. The Goodtime 2 is equipped with all geared tuning machines for easy, accurate, and stable tuning. The maple and ebony bridge and top frosted head give a crisp, bright sound. This special edition has Opry designs on the headstock and pot. Some Specs ~

- Deering Boston 6 String Banjo (B-6): If you already play guitar and have thought that it would be fun to learn to play the banjo here is your instrument. Now you can play banjo with the same chords and fingering you already know. It's great for those songs that would sound better if played on a banjo.
The 6-string banjo idea came to Greg Deering after he heard a song called "Desert Pete" on one of the Kingston Trio albums. He tried for weeks to figure it out on the 5-string banjo. Later he learned that it had been recorded by Glen Campbell on a 6-string banjo.
In examining older 6-string banjos, Greg observed the consistent lack of good tone. So he decided to determine why it never sounded quite right. He solved this mystery and now Deering Banjos produce the only 6-string banjos with great sustain and beautiful tone.
This banjo-guitar has an adjustable mahogany neck. It features an arched ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays and 22 frets. The tropical American mahogany provides a sweet and singing tone. The drum assembly is like the Boston 5-string banjo model and produces a good, clean sound. It has a satin finish. List price is $1978. Please Inquire for our pricing---. which includes a hardshell Deering case. See Picture
