DOERR GUITARS
Tom Doerr began building guitars in 2001. Although his time spent as a luthier has been relatively short, he has progressed quickly, giving credit to help from Bill Wise (Charis Acoustics) and many hours of reading books and magazines on the process. Tom’s goal for all of his guitars is to produce a deep, rich bass that is tonally balanced with vibrant, sparkling trebles. - Doerr Solace Select: USED ~ Near Mint ~ 2007. Exotic Ziricote back and sides with a Redwood top. CocoBolo double top bevels. Also CocoBolo body binding, rosette, tail wedege, headstock binding and truss rod cover. The rosette is actually CocoBolo with smaller Ziricote rings. The Neck is laminated for superior strength. The front & back headstock faceplates are Ziricote. CocoBolo headstock logo outlined in MOP. Gold Gotoh Delta Series tuning machines with Ebonoid buttons. The headstock is beveled -- too cool ! Ziricote, notched heelcap. CocoBolo fancy 12th fret inlay outined in MOP. Even the bridge pins are inlayed with CocoBolo dots outlined in MOP. Ebony fretboard with 1 3/4" nut. - Doerr Solace Select: This is our 2nd Solace from Tom, and this new size with the double bevels AND body Wedge is just about the most comfortable guitar to hold and play that you will find. Mare's tail Brazilian Rosewood back & sides with a fine, Carpathian spruce top. Sharp cutaway. Double top bevels to reduce the overall size of the top and give your right forearm a comfortable playing position. The bindings are Ebony and the Bevels are Macassar Ebony. The headstock has front & back plates in bookmatched Brazilian rosewood, and it too, is beveled, a nice touch. Tom's eye for design is exceptional, and everything is very balanced and pleasing to the eye. The Ebony "D" headstock logo is outlined in pearl. Additionally, the ebony bridge pins have inlayed Brazilian rosewood dots which are outlined in pearl. The ebony fretboard measures 1 3/4" at the nut. The neck is laminated and terminates in Tom's signature channel in the back of the headstock and also in the heel area. There is a handsome Brazilian rosewood top purfling line and matching Brazilian rosewood rosette. The heelcap is Brazilian that is bound in ebony. The playability is first-rate as is the enchanting, balanced tone. OHSC included in our price of Sold.

- Doerr Solace Select: Absolutely amazing ~ Tom is a pioneer in innovation. Indian Rosewood back & sides with a Western Red Cedar top. Sharp cutaway. Manzer WEDGE-SHAPED body for comfort. Double Top Bevel that is way comfortable, but Tom actually did it with TONE in mind. You get the big sound of a jumbo with the intimacy of a 000 size guitar. CocoBolo body AND headstock bevels. Perfectly bookmatched Brazilian Rosewood headstock faceplate. Gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines with Ebonoid buttons. Brazilian Rosewood top purfling. Custom "D" Cocobolo headstock logo. Customized ebony bridge pins with cocobolo dots. Custom cocobolo fingerboard termination. Custom 3 ring rosette of Cocobolo & Brazilian. Laminated neck with signature Crescent Channel through the back of the headstock (Cocobolo backplate).
