MANNIX GUITARS
Some Background
Ben Mannix has been building guitars part-time since 1995. (He has a full-time day job, that he is not willing to give up yet ~ but we're working on him!) He has studied under Ervin Somogyi and also under Tom Ribbecke. Ben lives in LaPorte, Indiana, and builds a dreadnaught, small jumbo, and a OOO. These models are available with or without a cutaway, and other customizations. He uses a French Polish exterior finish and puts a thin layer of finish inside the guitar as well. He also utilizes a mortise and tenon neck joint. Ben offers a standard limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against structural defects, but not fretware, strings, normal wear, etc.
