- Tippin 00-12 Custom: From the VAULT -- We've finally decided to let this little wonder go to a new home. New, unsold, but tucked away here for several years in the Vault of prized instruments. This custom Tippin 00 was constructed from the famed Bottom of the Bayou Mahogany. This was a log that had been submerged for many years and brought up and dried and found to be supernatural in beauty & tone. Bill Tippin scored some, wood-hound that he is. This guitar also has a clean Adirondack top. Slight "V" neck profile. Slotted headstock with chrome Waverly tuning machines. Fine Herringbone top trim. Mahogany rosette. Pyramid Ebony bridge with Ebony pins/abalone dots. MOP headstock logo and snowflake & diamond fingerboard inlays. 1 3/4" nut; 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle. Darker Curly Koa body, headstock and fingerboard binding. No pickguard. The rosette consists of Maple, Bloodwood and spalted Maple - stunning! 12th fret Tippin logo and Art Deco first fret abalone V inlay. Ebony fretboard that measures 1 3/4" at the nut; 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle. 25.7" scale length. Hand-carved Brazilian rosewood bridge with Buffalon Horn pins. Wonderful Maple rosette with purfling lines. Elegant abalone inlay on the first fret, just off the nut. "C" profile neck with signature Tippin shading.
