Really handsome sunburst on this vintage Martin guitar
Mahogany back & sides
Adirondack spruce top under a handsome sunburst
The best part of all though, is the tone. It is that vintage, dry, colorful sound that we all imagine a great Dreadnought will produce. This guitar does it in spades!
When we received this guitar, we sent it to master luthier, Bill Tippin to repair some cracks. He repaired them all, and replaced the already, non original bridge because it too, was cracked. It now has a period correct Ebony bridge with bone "through" saddle.
He noted that the guitar had been re-topped at some point, and said whomever performed the work did an amazing job.
The guitar has some light overspray on the back & sides
The bridge plate has been replaced as well
Bill worked hard to remove the milkiness that was in the pickguard
This guitar has replacement Waverly tuning machines
