McKnight Lowlander Vintage Walnut Guitar (used, 2019)-Sold

There’s just something special about building with old wood

  • Old Black Walnut back & sides from reclaimed window sills from a local stage coach livery station that was built in the late 1700's. This black walnut is VERY special looking (extremely tight grain) and it is as resonant as any of the best Brazilian rosewood Tim McKnight has ever heard. It's very unique sounding walnut.
  • This one of a kind guitar has an fantastic looking & sounding Adirondack spruce top
  • This McKnight LowLander model is loosely based on a vintage-esque elongated OOO body shape.
  • Snakewood headstock, body & fretboard bindings
  • Oval side sound port (bound)
  • Walnut & snakewood rosette
  • Snakewood back strip, heel cap and end graft
  • Madagascar rosewood fretboard with tiny MOP fret markers
  • Madagascar rosewood headstock faceplate with MOP builder logo
  • Chrome plated Gotoh tuning machines
  • Madagascar rosewood bridge
  • Boxwood bridge pins
  • Catalyzed urethane lacquer finish
  • SN: 258-1218-0319-LL
  • Guardian fiberglass case
  • The tone is out of this world. Super colorful and interesting to hear. Please use good speakers or earbuds to listen to our sound samples and videos of this unique, 12 fret guitar.
