  • Bashkin Placencia (OM): Robin's all time favorite tonewood, increasingly rare, African Blackwood back and sides with a Mastergrade German Spruce top. Sharp cutaway. Michael's own Torched white Oak burled headstock and rosette! Here's what Michael says about this particular rosette: the rosette is my personal favorite of any I have ever made. The main pieces are white oak burl, cut from my Dad's property in NC. The burl pieces are then torched on three sides. The pieces between the burl are walrus ivory. Attention to detail is 2nd to none on a Bashkin guitar. Did you know, that even the bridge pins are individually fit to each pin hole, and labeled as such? Michael goes the extra mile every time. The neck is extremely comfortable as well. Notice the cool pattern on the headstock? These are African Blackwood front & back headstock faceplates with European Spruce inlays. This detail is matched in the tail wedge. This unusual design was inspired by the pattern of ribs that Michael saw on the back of some leaves in Belize. The body binding is highly figured Koa and is accented by fine purfling lines. The tuning machines are Waverly with Ebony buttons. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Buffalo Horn bridge pins. Calton deluxe flight case included. Perfectly Balanced, pure tone all across the board and all up and down the neck. This is the real deal. SOLD.
