The Kopp K-200 was born out of a guitar that started life as one of the most dressed up and tonally distinctive jumbo’s in the world. So many great artists played and recorded with this model so I thought long and hard about where I wanted to try to take it.
First, I wanted to give it some more tonal balance, then some more projection, depth and playability, and finally try to give it more drive in the voicing. Last but not least dress it up in a fantastic burst.
I think we have achieved a huge jump in tone with the Kopp K-200. It handles all kinds of tuning, as well as finger style and or a pick very well. (the words of Kevin Kopp)
- Stunning figured Maple back & sides, under a fantastic full body translucent Black finish
- Highly figured laminated Maple neck as well, with the same translucent Black finish
- The same finish is on the headstock with a gorgeous Art Deco Inlay
- This same Art Deco Inlay flows to the ebony fretboard
- Even the ebony Waverly tuning buttons have a delicate inlay
- The heel cap also sports an Art Deco inlay
- Body, headstock & fretboard with Ivoroid binding
- Multiple rings form the rosette
- Black pickguard
- K&K pickup with volume control in the sound hole
- Ebony bridge with Ivoroid bridge pins
- The back center strip is a decorative chain link

- Excellent overall condition with some superficial scratches on the top just south of the pick guard
