Some Background

David Flammang began building guitars in 1996 full time. Prior to that time he worked in cabinet making and wood working. He spent some time building guitars under the Euphonon brand for Walter Lipton of Orford, New Hampshire. Flammang guitars are ALL ABOUT SOUND!

Each guitar includes:

  • Sitka Spruce or Western Red Cedar top
  • East Indian Rosewood or Mahogany back & sides
  • Black or Tortoise colored plastic binding
  • Ebony fingerboard (bound) and bridge
  • MOP "F" inlay on headstock
  • Bone nut & saddle with standard 1 3/4" nut & 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle
  • Chrome Schaller tuners

  • Flammang GC50L: WOW! How can it be that David's guitars just keep getting better & better? Incomprehensible ~ really.... What we have here is a Grand Concert in Indian Rosewood with a busy Bearclaw spruce top. Pau Abalone rosette. Longer than his standard scale for this model, this guitar has a 25.4" scale. 1 3/4" nut as well. Ebony fretboard with stunning "Weyman" abalone inlays. The fretboard and headstock are bound in Ebony. The body is bound in rosewood. Top and side purfling lines for accent. Gold Schaller mini tuners with Ebony buttons. Ebony bridge and pins. Diamond volute on the mahogany neck. The sound is world class. This is a superbly balanced, well-rounded guitar, suitable for fingerstyle or strumming.   • Flammang GC: Another custom GC from David! He DOES like to get creative ~ Ribbon Honduran Mahogany back and sides with a great Adirondack spruce top. Retro tortoiseshell colored body binding, soundhole binding and headstock binding. And, the headstock faceplate is the same, cool material. Wooden marquetry forms the rosette and encirles the top. Gold vintage Grover tuning machines. MOP "f" headstock logo and position dot markers on the Ebony fretboard. Diamond volute. 1 3/4" nut width. 24.9" scale length. 15 1/4" lower bout. Tons of TONE! Sold.

  • Flammang EL: We just LOVE these EL's! Reminiscent of a Gibson 00 ~ these little guys are lap cannons. 14 1/8" lower bout; 10 1/2" upper bout; and 4 5/8" deep at the tail. Deep sound, lots of vibe and guts. This guitar has Honduran mahogany back and sides with an Adirondack spruce top. Gorgeous top sunburst. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard that measures 1 3/4" at the nut. Brazilian Rosewood bridge with through vintage saddle and 2 3/16" string spacing. Shorter 24.9" scale length. Vintage chrome Gotoh tuners with Scalloped-knobs. These fine reproductions feature old style stamped gear housings, but have modern improved 15:1 gearing for smoother, more precise action. The "scalloped" knobs are the same as found on many vintage Martin and Gibson acoustic guitars. MOP "f" headstock logo. MOP dot position markers adorn the fingerboard.   • Flammang EL35-TS: Oooooh tres cool! The best of BOTH worlds. This is David's version of a Gibson L-00 with a tailpiece. What an incredible vibe! Indian Rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top under an elegant sunburst top. Ebony fretboard that measures 1 3/4" at the nut. Vintage Gotoh tuning machines. MOP position dot markers. The body is bound in grained ivoroid as is the soundhole. Grained ivoroid endpin and heelcap. THIS THING RINGS & RINGS. Way too much fun! Some specs: 14 1/8" lower bout; 10 1/2" upper bout; 4" deep at the tail; 24.9" scale length. OHSC included in our price of SOLD.
  • Flammang LGC30: One of Robin's favorite guitars EVER! When David Flammang builds a large Grand Concert out of Mahogany, there is nothing better! Ribbon Honduran Mahogany back and sides with a Sweet Sitka spruce top. Indian rosewood body bindings with mitered side purflings. The headstock has an Indian Rosewood overlay and is bound; also with purfling lines. MOP "f" headstock logo. Chrome mini Schaller tuning machines. Ebony fretboard with scalloped abalone diamond inlays. 1 3/4" Nut. 25.4" scale length. Ebony bridge with Ebony bridge pins.
