Greenfield G1 Guitar Gallery Reserve Brazilian Rosewood Guitar: #1 of 5 limited collector's edition made exclusively for Guitar Gallery by master luthier, Michael Greenfield.
Crafted from extremely old Brazilian Rosewood reclaimed from an estate in Brazil. This first guitar has the blackest of black Brazilian with some lighter highlights in the middle of the back. It is like Dark Chocolate.
Here are the facts, nothing but the facts. This wood was reclaimed from the ridge beam of a 200 year old house in Brazil. Michael, obtained this limited reserve of tonewood directly from the individual in Brazil who reclaimed the lumber. It doesn't get any better than this. Michael has no more remaining sets of this rare wood. In fact, we used the last set on our Guitar Gallery Greenfield 20th Anniversary guitar.
The top is fine Lutz Spruce, one of Michael's preferred topwood these days. He only uses the best woods, and feels Lutz is superior to all other spruces. The bracing is also Lutz Spruce.
Ebony fretboard that is bound with Ebony and sports purfling lines. Side dots outlined in brass. Ebony body bindings and Laskin style ergonomic arm BEVEL.
Michael's radially braced back with proprietary TONE Halo.
Michael uses hot hide glue and a hand-fit dovetail neck joint/screw.
The rosette is spalted Maple with Paua heart rings.
Fine top purflings.
The neck is hand-carved, Honduran Mahogany, reinforced with carbon graphite. This makes for an extremely true and stable, energy efficient neck that is virtually unbreakable.Â
Michael included his heel "swoosh" on this guitar.

Ebony, impedance matched, string-through bridge.
Gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines with Ebonoid buttons.

This instrument is extremely powerful, yet you can play this guitar with great subtlety, as I hope you can hear in these mp3 recordings. It has fantastic dynamic range and nuance. This guitar is going to bring a Lot of Joy to its 2nd owner.
