Partner with us in Guitars 4 Troops June 25, 2009

A few weeks ago, we met

Sgt. Bob Persch,

a soldier in Afghanistan by email. We have since learned that he is deployed with Task Force Hammer, a group of soldiers/engineers in Afghanistan who build or repair or do whatever is necessary for the safety of our troops there. Bob mentioned the desire for some guitars....and....well. We've been sending them over ever since. If you would like to donate a guitar or funds for a guitar so that we can continue to send guitars to Bob to distribute to his fellow soldiers in Afghanistan, please contact robin at 615-672-7733 or robin@guitargal.com. Here's a few of our guitars being enjoyed in Afghanistan.

and lastly, our guys at work there

Bashkin Guitars at Guitar Gallery April 04, 2009

One of our premier luthiers at Guitar Gallery is Michael Bashkin. His instruments are handmade, by only him, and quite unique. He utilizes unusual techniques such as scorching the wooden rosettes on his guitars. He is also a fan, of fan frets. Fan frets allow for 2 differing scale lengths to be built into the guitar. These are great for alternate tunings.Bashkin Guitar Gallery Ad
