Great Guitars Going to Happy Homes March 25, 2009

[caption id="attachment_33" align="aligncenter" width="99" caption="vintage 1966 Gibson Hummingbird"]vintage 1966 Gibson Hummingbird[/caption]Since our last post just a few days ago, 2 of the guitars mentioned, or maybe 3, are headed to new homes. And let me tell you, the elation of the new owners is high. The vintage Gibson Hummingbird will be heading to Denmark, and the 1994 Ltd Edition Gibson J-185 is going all the way to Australia! And, just today, we got word that there is a new home for that fantastic chocolate mahogany Borges in NC (this one gets to stay in the USA). Times are tough, and sales are not near normal pace yet, but, as we mentioned, savvy buyers are taking advantage of the great assortment of used guitars currently on the market. We remain, your best source for high-end, handmade acoustic guitars ~ GUITAR GALLERY.

At Guitar Gallery, we believe protecting your fine guitar begins with a Calton flight case. Whether you travel by car or plane or boat or spaceship....this is the best case out there. They are not any more heavy than a 5 ply traditional case, yet you can stand on top of one. They seal tightly with a rubber seal all around to protect from the elements. You can choose from many colors and they are custom fit for your specific guitar model. We stock around 50 cases at any given time. Recording at Guitar Gallery January 17, 2009

Click HERE to Hear this Allan Beardsell 2G acoustic guitar recording by Markham Brown  -  About every 2 weeks or so, we record a short 30-60 second mp3 of the newly arrived guitars at our small retail shop.  This process depends heavily on the expertise of the folks who play for us. We use about 5 in all, in different seasons, but our mainstay that we can always count on for availability and super clean, yet inspiring chops is Markham Brown. His touch is so clean, that the listener is not distracted by what the player is doing, but rather, gets to enjoy the music he & the instrument are making together.  My job is to push the "record" button.  Pretty hi-tech, huh??  But the results are impressive.  Just click on the hyperlink at the top of this post to listen.
