Gibson ES-175D Archtop Guitar (1970's)-SOLD


  • Laminated top, back & sides-this construction actually helps to keep feedback at a minimum
  • Rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays
  • Comfortable 16.25" lower bout with a 3" deep body
  • 2 Humbuckers
  • Independent volume & tone "black bonnet knobs" for each pickup
  • Toggle switch
  • Pointed end tailpiece
  • Rosewood  bridge makes it pre-1977 when the tune-o-matic bridge was introduced to the model
  • Remember your favorite hits from the 70's?  You can bet many of them were recorded on a guitar similar to this one!
  • Some lifting of the finish on the upper bouts and side.  These are not cracks into the wood, but purely cosmetic.
  • There is a nick in the fretboard binding, on the treble side
  • The original pickguard is Inside the case, the previous owner never played with a pick, so he preferred it removed.
